Photo of the Eastern Pasqueflower, sometimes called the May Day Flower.  It is a native plant of parts of the U.S. and Canada. Throughout most of its range, it is the first native flower to bloom.  This photo was taken at one of the Ball Mansons in Muncie, Indiana. The Ball’s founded the Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company, best known for Ball Mason jars. The family also helped to fund Ball State University.
