Based on a photo I took while visiting the Shaolin Temple, in China. I was able to take my daughter to China in 2010. We visited many places of interest and the Shaolin Temple was one of my favorite places on the trip. I took a photo of a large, laying Buddha while there and have been trying to find a way to make a painting of it every since. A few months ago a ran across marvelous graffiti on a building in Marion, Indiana. I found combining photos of the laying Buddha with the graffiti was the creative inspiration I needed. Some concepts pull together for me in a matter of hours, others in years! This is one of those slow cookers.
